Where Would You Rather Be Next April?
Thank you for your interest and welcome to the 2005 Ford Men's World Curling Championship website.
The 2005 Ford Men's World Curling Championship was awarded to Victoria in the Fall of 2003 bringing world class men's curling back to Victoria for the first time since the 1984 Brier. The 2005 championship will be staged from April 2-10, 2005 at the new, 7,500 seat Save On Foods Memorial Centre, which is currently under construction. It is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2004. Back then when the Brier was held in Victoria's Memorial Arena and the Mike Riley rink from Manitoba went on to represent Canada in the Air Canada Silver Broom. This time the Champion from the 2005 Brier in Edmonton will don the Canadian Maple Leaf and vie for the World Championship. Come for the curling, stay for the excitement, and come see why Victoria is the place the "World Comes to Play."
